- The Pride Before The Fall was an amazing experience...I had a batch of songs written on guitar and some beats and various sounds assembled for them, and really wanted to record a solo album...I teamed up with Matthew Freed and we put this album together over the course of 2004...I still get nostalgic listening to it, remembering things like driving home after a long day of recording, listening to the latest mix or two of songs...I learned so much about myself, songwriting, arrangements...This album began a wonderful relationship with Matthew as well, still working with him to this day...Thanks again to everyone involved, who knows...maybe another Ryan Lee album in the future?
